Ok, I'm not "looking down" on those smoke a little pot from time to time.BUT WHEN BUYING POT IS MORE IMPORTANT IN YOUR DAY THEN GETTING GAS... THERE'S A PROBLEM.
I was behind a guy in line at a local CD store today - The store buys used CDs and DVDs. The guy infront me of said "I need to sell these to get some gas money". There's no issues with that. Gas prices suck right now - I've got a Jeep - so I'm feeling the pinch.
BUT, the dude smelt like he just smoke a big one in his car before entering the store. Which this got me thinking. This dude more than likely spent all his money on pot, then needed gas so he's trading in some movies to buy gas? There's a bit of an issue here.
If you smoke, cool - that's you call and your thing. I will not pass judgement on you. BUT, when you spend all your money on pot instead of putting gas in your car!?!? You have to get your priorities straight!
Gas can get you to and from work - where you make money to buy more gas and maybe even some pot. So why is that some people feel that buying pot is higher up on the list than gas, food, rent, etc.
Smoke if you want, but please don't let it rule over eveything one of your normal everyday needs.

Emo Suicide

"The U-K's Daily Mail, which has angered emo fans for suggesting that bands like My Chemical Romance are encouraging teenage suicide, has done it again. The latest case is the suicide of a 13-year-old boy who hanged himself because, his parents claim, other kids had bullied him over his clothes and his love of emo music. His parents believe the abuse got to be too much for him to handle."
Emo causes suicide? oh please!
If you dress emo, you will be picked on. Just like those guys who are "real men" because they wear pink. I'm not saying it's right to pick on someone because of what they wear... but if you're 13, it's going to happen. I got picked on as a kid... almost everyone did. It's sad, but it's a part of growning up. You live, You learn, and You deal.
Emo music and bands like My Chemical Romance do NOT cause suicide... kid with problems cause suicide. If you kill youself because of a band or song... you had more problems to begin with before that band came into your life.
Remember the cases against Judas Priest and Ozzy back in the 80's? According those cases, the people in question killed themselves because a song "told" them to. While we are at it, I'll say that I'm an @$$hole because of the song "I'm an @$$hole" or... I got drunk because of the song "BEER"... Come on!
The parents of this kid says he killed himself because he was picked on due to his choice of shirts. Really? It's all that fault of Emo... WRONG!!!!
Here's a rare idea parents... are you ready?
no really are you ready? this might blow your mind beyond all reason....
TALK TO YOUR KIDS!!!!!!!
Problems and issues like this could be fixed before they go this far. It's not the music's fault. It's not the video game's fault. It's not the TVs fault. Learn to be parents... and talk to your kids.
I feel bad that this kid is dead, but blaming Emo is not going to make it better.
