On Sunday, 25-year-old George Vera of Houston, Texas, was arrested for selling bootleg CDs. He spent an entire day in city jail, before being transferred to county lockup for another 14 hours.
But after nearly two days in jail, George admitted to the police that even though they'd searched him as many as FIVE TIMES, he'd still managed to sneak a nine-millimeter HANDGUN into the jail. So how did he do it? Apparently, George weighs nearly 600 pounds and he hid the gun from the police by tucking it underneath his ROLLS OF BACK FAT. (!!!)
According to a police spokesman, quote, "If a person has a weapon, narcotics, anything of danger, it should have been found before he winds up in the county jail. Obviously the system broke down." George was charged with gun possession and has been released on $10,000 bond.
